Couples Therapy

Helping couples find their way back to each other
You are having the same arguments repeatedly, feeling more like roommates than partners, dealing with a lack of emotional and physical intimacy, feeling disconnected, and maybe you've even reached the point where you're questioning whether it's possible to get back to the relationship you once had.
You and your partner are having two different conversations.
One of you may feel unheard, while the other feels like nothing you do is ever enough.
One of you wants to talk, while the other shuts down to avoid making things worse.
One of you is discussing the present situation, while the other is bringing up unresolved issues from the past.
One of you is talking about your feelings, while the other is trying to make sense of the situation logically.
One of you is sharing how something emotionally impacted them, while the other gets defensive because they perceive it as a personal attack.
One of you is looking for validation of your feelings and experiences, while the other is focused on rushing in to fix it.
Every couple argues. I don't believe healthy couples fight less. Healthy relationships aren’t defined by the absence of conflict. They are defined by how they repair after conflict. The goal isn't to avoid ever triggering one another. The goal is learning how to stay connected while understanding what those triggers are trying to tell you and repair before disconnection grows. Most arguments aren't really about the dishes, the money, sex, or whose turn it is. They are about the emotions, fears, and unmet needs underneath. You aren’t fighting about the surface issue. You are fighting about the feelings wrapped inside the issue. It’s usually about feeling unseen, unimportant, rejected, alone, or unsafe.
We often assume we know our partner because we have known them for years, but people continue to grow and change throughout life. Without realizing it, couples can begin relating to outdated versions of one another instead of the people they've become. Therapy creates space to slow down enough to rediscover your partner, understand how you've both evolved, and reconnect with who your partner is now, not just who they were years ago.
Whether your relationship is in crisis or you simply want to strengthen an already meaningful partnership, couples therapy offers a space to slow down the conversations that usually spiral out of control, identify the patterns that keep you stuck, understand the cycle you've both become caught in, and begin to reconnect with the parts of your relationship that may have been lost along the way.
Couples come to me when experiencing:
-
Emotional disconnection or feeling more like roommates than partners
-
Communication difficulties and recurring arguments
-
Infidelity and rebuilding trust
-
Lack of intimacy and affection
-
Differences in parenting, finances, or values
-
Major life transitions and stress
-
Resentment, anger, unmet needs, or unresolved hurt
-
Considering separation or uncertainty about the future of the relationship

Couples often worry therapy will become a place where someone is blamed or forced to "take sides." I'm not interested in deciding who's right or wrong. My role is to help both of you feel heard, understand the patterns that keep you stuck, and guide conversations that are difficult to have on your own.
I work with couples in all stages of their relationship, including dating and premarital couples, married and long-term partners, LGBTQ+ couples, couples seeking proactive support before challenges escalate, and those feeling stuck in ongoing conflict or facing difficult decisions about the future of their relationship.
Every relationship experiences periods of disconnection. The question isn't whether you'll struggle, it’s what happens next. Even relationships that have been stuck in painful patterns for years can begin to change when both partners understand the cycle they're trapped in and learn new ways of responding to one another. Seeking couples therapy isn't admitting your relationship has failed. It's choosing not to let the same patterns continue writing your story. With curiosity, commitment, and the right support, it is possible to rebuild trust, deepen understanding, and find your way back to each other.
If you're ready to reconnect with each other, I’d be honored to support you.
